Happy international womens day.

Happy International Women’s Day! It’s a great day to recognize the incredible impact women have made throughout history and continue to make every day.

Whether it’s trailblazers in science and tech, leaders in our communities, or the women in our personal lives who keep everything running, there is a lot to celebrate today.

These women didn’t just contribute to their fields; they fundamentally changed how we understand the universe.

  • Marie Curie (1867–1934): Still the only person to win Nobel Prizes in two different scientific fields (Physics and Chemistry). She discovered polonium and radium and pioneered research into radioactivity.

  • Artemisia Gentileschi (1593–1653): A Baroque painter who became the first woman member of the Accademia di Arte del Disegno in Florence. Her work is celebrated for its emotional intensity and powerful female subjects.

  • Elizabeth I (1533–1603): One of the most successful monarchs in English history, she ruled for 45 years during a period of massive cultural and economic growth known as the Elizabethan Era.

What woman do you look up to? Let me know in the comment section.

With love,

Dolapo Rebecca
